Here's a list of sites that I find useful or entertaining. I won't include the obvious (BBC News and Google), but will stick to ones that you might not have come across before. Some of these pay me commission if you sign up, but that's not the reason that I'm listing them here - I've only listed sites that I use myself.

A brilliant satirical news website. Unfortunately, it hasn't been around for a while, but I always check every now and again, just in case it comes back.

PlusNet
I recently got so fed up with the service that I received from BTOpenworld, that I moved ISP to PlusNet. This gives a far cheaper and far superior service than any other ISP that I've ever used. By the way, if you join PlusNet by clicking on the link above, then I get commission.

Cancer Screensaver
If you have your PC switched on all day, but often leave it unattended, then why not leave it doing some good by using its screensaver to help find a cure for cancer?

EggPay
EggPay is an excellent way of paying money to people that you owe money to. I wish I was on commission for the number of people that I've recommended this service to. Egg offers the best customer service that I have ever experienced from a bank.

WebUser forums
Forums on the 'net are an excellent source of information, full of people willing to spend time answering your questions. I find the WebUser forums a friendly and helpful place. The PlusNet forums (see link above) are also excellent, but are for PlusNet customers only.

Digiguide
For about seven quid a year, you can download all the latest TV listings to your PC and print them out. The program even reminds you when your favourite programs are about to start. Seven quid a year works out at about 13p/week (far cheaper than the Radio Times). If you sign up after clicking on the link above, then I get a few pennies.

BookCrossing
Ever wondered where your old books go when you've given them to a charity shop? Want to pick up some free books that other people have to give away? Then visit this site.

The Lycos Virals Site
I get fed up with all the stupid, unfunny attachments that people insist on sending around the world because they think that they're funny. The good news is that Lycos has collected all the funny ones and put them in one place.

HotelClub
I used this website to book hotels while I was in Oz, but it allows you to book hotels worldwide. An excellent easy to use site. If you sign up having clicked on this link, then I get commission for every hotel that you book in the first year of your free membership.

No more AOL CDs
If you are fed up with getting loads of free AOL CDs through the door and with magazines, then why not get your own back?
