Day With Sarah (2009-03-08)

Category: Diary. Posted: 2009-03-11 23:33:58 GMT.

We woke up fairly early, and I continued tidying and dusting while Sarah went for a run. I also chatted on MSN a bit, and this nice bird from up north sent me some fairly revealing pictures. Sarah had arranged for us to go round to Lucy's place for lunch, which gave us some time to go shopping in Slough once she'd got back from her run. I wanted to buy lots of new shirts so that I can get rid of some of my old shirts and some new sheets so that I can get rid of my old sheets. We locked our bikes up in Slough (Sarah had bought all her locks this time!) and went to BHS. Sarah was in charge of finding shirts, and I was in charge of finding sheets. I couldn't find any sheets that I liked, and Sarah had only found one shirt.

I didn't bother buying the single shirt, so we went to Debenhams instead. Yet again, I couldn't find any sheets that I liked, but Sarah had found a promising selection of shirts. Unfortunately, none was exactly what I wanted, but the shop assistant was very helpful. She told me that I could call up an 0800 number and order them. As an act of desperation, we went into M&S. I still couldn't find any sheets that I liked, but Sarah found 3 multi-packs of exactly the type of shirts that I wanted. Top lass!

Back at home, we had enough time to pour some milk into an empty milk container, before going to see Lucy. We stopped off at Budgens on the way, and started arguing about whether cheese was healthy or not. I assumed that Sarah was just saying it was unhealthy because it's got a lot of calories, but it turned out later that she was right ("yes dear"). The queue was quite long, so I joined the queue, while Sarah went to find some breadsticks. She found something similar, gave them to me, and then walked away, leaving me to pay! I soon whinged about this when I joined her outside the shop!

We got a bit lost getting to Lucy's house, but got there eventually. I was very impressed that she could show us her pictures on her Wii. I obviously haven't read the manual enough, because she said that all I have to do is insert an SD card into the Wii. Job done! Anyway, it turned out that Sarah had misread Lucy's text message and she had "plenty of milk for tea", not "no milk for tea".

Back at home, I turned on my Wii to see whether I could view my pictures, but both my cameras have xD cards, not SD cards, so I couldn't view my pictures. Anyway, we played on the Wii for a bit (I was quite a bit younger than I was on Wednesday night!), and had a pizza delivered, before Sarah cycled up to the station. I tried to find some new sheets on Amazon, but there were far too many to choose from. I tried Argos, but it hardly had any in stock, so I eventually gave up and found some suitable sheets on Tesco.com.
