Using Credit Cards Abroad (2009-03-07)

Category: Useful Information. Posted: 2009-03-11 23:31:21 GMT.

According to today's edition of Money Box, Nationwide is going to start charging 0.8% commission on its Visa credit and debit cards when they're used outside the EU. This still compares well with the majority of banks and building societies that charge about 2.8%, but it's a lot more than the 0% that attracted me to Nationwide in the first place. The only card that now charges 0% worldwide is the Post Office Mastercard.
