What was this idiot thinking about? He/she used a fairly heavy-duty cutting device to cut both steel cables, but didn't even attempt to cut the D-lock (which he had no chance of doing anyway). Cutting the two cables "unlocked" the wheels, the seat, and the helmet, but didn't "unlock" the bike. He/she must have realised that the bike was locked on using a D-lock, because that's where he/she cut the two steel cables. This would make sense if he/she stole the seat, or the wheels, but they were still there, and somebody (presumably not the pathetic thief) had put the helmet on my handlebars for safe-keeping. All I can assume is that he/she wanted to steel my wheels, but was disturbed.
