Beers with Gimmer (2008-06-10)

I almost had time for a lunchbreak today, but didn't quite make it. It did, however, get to leave early. As I was cycling along the road, another cyclist cycled right across to the other side of the road, before deciding he didn't want to turn right, and cycled back again, almost knocking into me. He started having a right old rant when I called him an idiot. Near home, a pedestrian showed his complete ignorance by saying, "Get on the road", when I was cycling on the cycle path! He got very upset when I explained that he was wrong. Back at home, I gimmered around a bit until Gimmer turned up. We had a quick cuppa before going to eat outside the Harvester. We had been planning to have a curry at his gaff (after I'd sorted his PC out), but decided that sitting outside was a better idea. It ended up being colder than we expected, so took out our drinks inside once we'd finished eating.

After finishing our drinks, we went across the road to the Toby for another drink. We ended up leaving at about 23:40, because the barmaid thought we were residents. Job done. Back at my gaff, we looked up a few things on t'internet, and then called it a night. I quickly checked my e-mail, and PlentyOfFish, and got carried away updating my blog, and chatting to the "lesbian" totty. Next thing I knew, it was 01:45!
