My brother got up just as I got out of the shower, and jumped in after me. I went downstairs to make myself breakfast, and make my brother a cuppa. Yesterday's organic delivery included some complementary bananas to apologise for last week's delivery being short. This gave me enough bananas to have one with my cereal every day. If I remember rightly, bananas are a low GI food, so will work well while I'm cycling to work. When he got out of the shower, he decided that he didn't want breakfast, so I poured the tea away. Just as we were about to leave, the gimmer decided that he did want breakfast, so he put some toast on. This meant that I had to put some ingredients in the bread maker, so that I had some more bread for my evening slice of toast. Fortunately, we had plenty of gimmering time, so I still arrived at work early.
During the day, I cycled into Slough Scuba to drop off my drysuit, so it could be sent back to Northern Divers yet again. On the way, I was amazed to have to avoid the same pile of glass that has been on the cycle path for the last 3 months. I'll have to complain to Slough Council when I get time.
I had expected to leave work on time, but lost track of time a bit, and left later than I had hoped to. On the way home, somebody rang, but I didn't recognise the number, so I decided not to answer it. As I got close to home, some idiot in a car turned left, right in front of me, almost knocking me off my bike. I caught up with the car at the next set of lights, and had a go at the driver. The woman claimed that she had seen me, and didn't turn right in front of me. That sounded even worse than just not seeing me!
Back at home, I called the person who called me earlier, and it was a woman from Freecycling who wanted to borrow my wallpaper stripper. She popped round to collect it, and it top totty. It's a pity she's married. After that, I put the sheets in the washing machine - Scary was coming for a curry tomorrow, although he would probably pass out in the living room, and not need the sheets! When we left the curry house last night, my brother asked me how often I go to The India. I reckoned that I probably go twice a month on average, but will be going at least three times this week! Talking about curry, last night's curry warmed up did the job.
I spent the rest of the evening washing my dive kit, and making smoothies. This didn't give me time to watch either Holby City, or Waking The Dead. I haven't watched last night's episode of Waking the Dead yet, but I bet the resolution won't be brilliant.
