Wanting to finish off everything urgent, I worked from about 8AM to about 6PM. During the day, I remembered that my laptop's battery was a bit pants, so I turned it on to see how bad. Despite being fully charged, it lasted less than 10 minutes. I went to Dataplex, but it doesn't stock laptop batteries. I went to Maplin, but it only sold a battery pack bigger than a Macbook Air. Back in the office, I had a look on t'internet, and eventually found a company that had the correct battery in stock, and would despatch it today, to arrive tomorrow. Sarah called me at about 17:45, and told me to finish work. This seemed like a good idea, so I cycled home.
I'd cancelled my organic delivery this week, so had no smoothies to make. After finishing my dinner, I realised that I had no sandwich spread left, so went up to Budgens. I would normally buy organic sandwich spread from Tesco, but I didn't have time to cycle there, and also needed to transfer some money from between bank accounts, so had to go to the Nationwide cash machine anyway. Back at home, I made my sandwiches, finished loading up the dishwasher, and went to check my e-mail. I'd let my e-mails get out of hand again, so this took a while. Several e-mails went backwards and forwards about Gordy's stag do, but I think we decided what the plans would be.
I finished off the ironing while watching the ten o'clock news. When it finished at 22:40, I still hadn't finished, so switched over to watch Newsnight. I very rarely watch Newsnight, but tonight's programme was quite interesting - fortunately, I finished the ironing before that Paxman bloke started interviewing somebody. Feeling fairly tired, I went to bed before midnight. Unfortunately, this meant that I couldn't check whether the coding to show St. Patrick's Day headers on my website stopped showing them once it was no longer St. Patrick's Day. Oh well, if it didn't, it wouldn't be the end of the world - visitors would just get to admire the bikinis for another day!
