Google Blogsearch (2008-01-09)

Google Blogsearch is very good at picking up my posts as soon as I post them. However, it seems to have problems keeping track of them for longer than a day. I contacted Google today, to see whether it could solve the problem.

Google Blogsearch seems to have problems with my blog posts that are older than one or two days. Google Blogsearch picks up the changes as soon as I post to my blog. As a test, I then use the advanced search to search for:
  inpostauthor:"Rob Dickson"

This shows my recent posts, but doesn't show older posts (even though the older posts have previously been included in Google Blogsearch, and are in the RSS feed).

As an alternative, I tried searching for:
  blogurl:www.robdickson.co.uk

This claims to find between 50 and 60 results, but only ever manages to show the most recent posts. Even if I click on "Next" several times, it only shows blogs that have been posted in the last day or two.

If I don't post anything for two days, then Google Blogsearch returns nothing.
