What's New

This is just a page with small easy to understand articles on that might help people using computers.

If you're interested in setting up a small network, then read about different types of networks.

If you've already set-up a wireless network, then make sure that you secure it properly.

If you've just bought a new PC, built a new PC, or are reinstalling Windows, then make sure you protect your new PC properly BEFORE you connect to the 'net. Once you've been using your PC for a while, it's important to keep it running well, as described in my PC maintenance page. You could also consider checking out my Hints and Tips page.

If you don't want to pay for firewalls or virus checkers, there are plently of free alternatives, but don't forget to set them to run automatically every now and again.

I'm also often asked how to access the 'net while you're out of the house. There are lots of ways to do this, and I will outline them soon on my Mobile Internet page.

Please also be aware of the latest virus threats and hoaxes.
